Elementary Programs Director
Elementary Programs Director Programs Director Position Summary: Perform functions to manage the coordination and administration of the Casa Chirilagua Kids Club program and elementary summer programming. Program Management and Development (50%) a. Provide day-to-day oversight and leadership for the Elementary Programs portfolio with primary focus being Kids Club, an elementary after-school program students of Central American descent. b. Oversee and develop the programming for each program for implementation with volunteers and support staff. Collaborate with Programs Director to ensure that programming is aligned with Casa Chirilagua’s core mission, vision, and strategic direction. c. Collaborate with the programs team for promotion of program and enrollment of students d. Maintenance of administrative lists for program 2. Personnel Management (35%) a. Oversee the recruitment, retention and management and oversight of assistant program staff and volunteers. Supervise college-aged, part-time staff members enrolled in the Local Leaders program as they work daily at Kids Club. Collaborate with the Local Leader program coordinator on scheduling of trainings for LL professional and spiritual development. 3. Relationship Management (15%) a. Serve as point of contact for key relationships with specific external stakeholders (program volunteers, program specific partners and elementary school partners) and for parents of students within programs. Essential Functions: • Lead the long- and short-range program development and planning of the elementary after school program and as well as elementary out of school time summer programming in accordance with the mission and the goals of the organization. Select or develop and implement the curriculum for children attending elementary programs. • Monitor and track student academic progress. Oversee behavior management systems and provide timely feedback to parents. Develop documentation related to events of significance involving students. • Monitor and manage the collection and tracking of tuition as required. • Supervise paid staff and volunteers working with elementary programs. Collaborate with the Volunteer Coordinator to provide regular feedback, training opportunities, curriculum resources, and support for staff and volunteers. • Participate in interviewing and training department team members in collaboration with the Local Leader Program Coordinator and the Programs Director. • Train and supervise program staff and volunteers

Communications Director - Part Time
(Part-time) Communications Director Position Summary: Perform functions to develop and implement the Casa Chirilagua Communications Plan. Create and promote communication pieces which share Casa’s story well, maintain the brand and enable the organization to fulfill its vision and mission. Web, Email, and Social Media Content and Maintenance (40%) · Oversee and direct content development for all online communications including social media channels, scheduled mass emails, and website content 2. Print and Media Production Oversight (30%) · Oversee, create, and design brand-consistent media and print productions to include fundraising campaigns, web graphics, mass mailers, annual report, t-shirts, thank you pieces, and other marketing materials as requested 3. Interdepartmental Informational Liaison (20%) · Gathering information among departments maintaining a consistent information flow regarding up to date program and development teams’ needs and outcomes. 4. Strategic Communications Planning and Implementation (10%) · Provide leadership and oversight for the development and implementation of the annual Strategic Communications plan Essential Functions: · Responsible for the development and distribution of Casa’s story through effective and consistent branding, marketing and messaging distribution · Attend and publicize organizational events, program activities and goals · Lead the Casa staffing team in communications efforts; coach, train, and empower staff to collect information, tell stories well (including consistent branding and messaging), and participate directly in Casa’s social media presence · Oversee communications production (content/themes/schedule), maintenance and timely distribution of all forms of media (e-news communications, print pieces, press releases, video, web, and social media) · Work in collaboration with the development director to design and coordinate production of marketing and promotional materials to include fundraising campaigns, annual report, t-shirts, thank you pieces, and mass mailers · Responsible for capturing Casa stories through video and photography at Casa Chirilagua programming/events, appropriately engaging media and publicizing stories · Cultivate an active social media environment engaging with Casa Chirilagua’s audience through media, live video, commenting, and utilizing up-to-date methods and algorithms to boost organic engagement · Keep content on Casa website up-to-date and post monthly stories Other Duties: · Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quali

National Cattlemen's Beef Association Seeking Communications Staff
The National Cattlemen's Beef Association--the nation's oldest and largest trade association representing beef farmers and ranchers--is seeking an Associate Director of Policy Communications. This role is perfect for someone with Hill communications experience looking to build media relations skills and join a fantastic team. The role would include building awareness of NCBA’s value among its beef producer members, translating key issues and “wins” in the broadcast, print and digital trade and political media, and serving as a resource to state affiliates as needed. Typical assignments may include: (1) Positively position NCBA and its activities in national, state, local and agricultural trade media to increase communication opportunities. Regularly develop and distribute compelling print, audio, and video news to ensure NCBA is viewed as the primary source, disseminator, and conduit of information for the beef industry, particularly among trade, national and Hill media outlets. (2) Proactively seek opportunities to share NCBA messaging with stakeholders and other individuals to help drive the association’s value proposition, with the goal of increasing NCBA membership. (3) Develop and maintain positive relationships with congressional press staff to ensure members of Congress have accurate information about the beef industry. Leverage Hill staff relationships to further NCBA policy efforts while also helping to amplify the efforts of elected officials on issues that impact cattle producers. (4) Work closely policy team to help develop strategic lobby and communications plans for each issue. Includes, but not limited to, development of talking points, lobby materials for the Hill, website content, editorial timelines, articles, and op-eds. Additionally, the associate director will develop accurate and timely information to keep key stakeholders informed of, and engaged with, critical policy issues. (5) Responsible for frequent writing, editing and dissemination of articles and press releases related to policy and organizational topics. (6) Regularly contributes print, audio, video, and social media content to NCBA media properties. (7) Proactively engage the media with story ideas and leads, assist with responses to incoming media requests, scheduling interviews and conducting follow-up discussions as needed. (8) Other job duties as assigned. Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of communications experience, preferably in agriculture. Government experience (Hill, Agency, etc.) is a plus.
